Description

This is a building comprising shops and dwellings, dating from the early 19th century. It is located on Union Street, Hereford. The building is constructed of painted brick with a plain tile roof. It is three storeys high, plus a cellar, and has a four-window front. The upper two floors feature 8/8 sash windows, each set within a segmental arch. The third floor has 4/8 sash windows. The building has brick modillion eaves. The ground floor contains four shop fronts, with bow windows featuring glazing bars. To the right, there are 20th-century glazed doors with casement overlights; to the right again is another 20th-century glazed door and display case, belonging to number 29A. Inside, a 19th-century winder stair has stick balusters. On the second floor, there is a three-panel door and overlight. An earlier roof truss is exposed within the party wall.
