Description
This barn, located about 30 yards north-east of Great Quebb Farmhouse, is likely from the mid-18th century. It is constructed with a timber frame and weatherboarding, resting on a rubble base, and features a corrugated metal roof. The barn consists of three framed bays arranged in a north-west to south-east orientation. The central wagon bay has opposing cart entries with double doors. Inside, the wall framing includes large rectangular panels extending from the sill to the wall plate, with long straight braces in the lower corners. The structure has tie-beam trusses throughout, with raking struts (the end trusses have two pairs of struts) and two tiers of trenched purlins. This barn is included for its group value alongside the adjacent farmhouse and outbuilding.
