Description
Bower Cottage is a cottage dating from the late 17th century to early 18th century. It is rendered, likely over a timber frame and rubble stone, and features a stone slate roof with a catslide at the rear and a large projecting stack on the right. The main range has a crossing on the left and is simple in design, with a storey and attic and a two-window range consisting of 20th-century two-light casements. There is a central door located in a projecting lean-to porch, which has a part-glazed door and a casement. A small two-light casement is present in the facing gable. To the right, there is a lean-to and a circular bake-oven projection attached to the rear of the massive stack. Inside, the cottage features chamfered spine beams and old plank doors.
