Description

This barn, located about 20 yards north-west of Green Hill Farmhouse, dates from the 17th century. It is timber-framed and weatherboarded, sitting on a rubble base with some rubble walling, and features a corrugated metal roof. The barn consists of four framed bays arranged in a north-east to south-west direction. The wagon bay, found in the second bay from the north-east end, has opposed cart entries. The framing includes four panels extending from the sill to the wall-plate, with collar and tie-beam trusses supported by four struts to the collar and a V-strut above the collar at the ends. Additionally, there is a lean-to addition with a catslide roof on the north-west elevation.
