Description

Rock Cottage is a toll house built in the early 19th century and extended in the mid-20th century. It is constructed of coursed rubble and features a hipped slate roof. The building has a rectangular plan with a central stack and a canted bay that projects towards the road. It is a single-storey structure with windows on each canted side of the bay and one to the left of the bay. These windows have brick dressings, two-centred heads, and 2-light casements, each with a pointed head. The entrance is located at the front of the bay and includes a gabled wooden porch and a ledged and boarded door.
