Description

This is a 17th-century house located in Shobdon, with some alterations made in the mid-19th century. It is timber-framed with painted brick infill between the framing, set on a plinth of coursed rubble, and has a corrugated iron roof. The house has two framed bays aligned north-east to south-west, with gable-end stacks made of rubble. It is a single storey building with an attic, which is lit by two gabled dormers, and includes a cellar. The ground floor has two two-light casement windows. The entrance, positioned to the right of the centre, features a ledged and boarded door with an overlight, framed by a moulded wooden architrave. The timber framing rises to four panels in height. The gable-end truss incorporates two struts to the collar and V-struts in the apex.
