Description

The Old Toll House is a toll house built around 1830-1840. It is a small structure made of ashlar stone with a low-pitched hipped slate roof, featuring a central ridge stack and two stacks on the rear wall. The building is designed in a Tudor style and consists of one storey. It has a central canted bay with a Tudor-arched door in a raised surround, flanked by a window on each side. There is a one-window range on each side of the bay, with two-light unmoulded mullion windows that have hoodmoulds. The end walls also have similar windows. There are 20th-century additions at the rear.
