Description

This is a C17 house, now divided into two cottages, situated on the south slope of a valley near Box. The building is constructed of rubble stone with a stone tiled roof, featuring coped gables and three chimney stacks: one on the east end wall, one on the ridge, and one on the south gable.

The south front has a three-window arrangement. The first floor has a 3-light recessed chamfered mullion window, a C20 2-light mullion window, and a C19 2-light window. The ground floor contains a C18 3-light recessed hollow-moulded window, a small single light, and a 3-light recessed ovolo-moulded window. On the west end wall is a single 2-light C17 recessed hollow-moulded window with a hoodmould. The north side displays a four-window range with a large buttress. The first floor includes a casement pair, a single casement, and C20 3-light and 2-light recessed hollow-moulded windows. The ground floor has a renewed 3-light ovolo-moulded window with a hoodmould and relieving arch, a C20 single light, a C20 3-light window, and a C20 door. A two-storey C20 extension is located at the east end.
