Description
Ley Cottage is a house built in the late 18th century, constructed from squared rubble stone and topped with a stone tiled roof featuring coped gables and end wall stacks. The building has two storeys and an attic, with a three-window range. It includes one dormer and features a variety of sash windows: a 12-pane, a 6-pane, and a 16-pane on the first floor, and 16-pane sashes on the ground floor, all positioned around a door that is set within a projecting Roman Doric porch supported by two columns. To the left, there is a slate-roofed lean-to with a 6-pane sash window from the 19th century. The north side of the cottage has two dormers, one with a 16-pane sash and two with 12-pane sashes on the first floor, along with a ground floor outbuilding and two additional 12-pane sashes.
