Description

Townsend House is a house from the early to mid-19th century, featuring an ashlar front and a slate roof with coped gables and end wall stacks. The building stands three storeys tall and has a three-window range with blank centre windows. It includes a raised plinth, a platband, a first-floor sill course, and an eaves band. The upper outer windows each have three long panes, while the outer first-floor and ground-floor windows are four-pane sashes. The central entrance consists of a six-panel door with a hood supported by brackets. At the rear, there is a wing with a coped gable and a north end wall stack.
