Description
Stanley House and Stoney Steps are a pair of houses built in the late 18th century. They are made of squared rubble stone and feature Bridgwater tile mansard roofs with coped gables. Stanley House has a rendered and painted exterior, is double fronted, and has end wall stacks. It is two storeys high with an attic, one hipped dormer, and a three-window range below. The centre window is blank, and the original sash windows have been replaced with 20th-century windows in flush surrounds on the first floor and paired sashes on the ground floor. There is a central door located in a projecting porch. An outbuilding is situated at the left end, along with a two-storey 19th-century parallel rear range. Stoney Steps matches the height of Stanley House and remains unpainted. It has one window range and an end wall stack, with a hipped dormer above. The first floor features a 12-pane sash window, while the ground floor has paired 8-pane sashes with a door to the left. There is also a gabled rear wing.
