Description

Pear Tree Cottage is a late 17th-century house, fronted with ashlar and featuring a stone-tiled roof, coped gables, and end wall stacks. The building is two and a half storeys high and double-fronted, with two coped dormer gables. A dripcourse runs above the ground floor, and a moulded plinth is present. The windows are ovolo-moulded recessed mullion windows with casements. These include two two-light windows with hoodmoulds to the dormer gables, two three-light windows with hoodmoulds to the first floor, and two three-light windows to the ground floor. A 20th-century door is centrally positioned within a moulded flush surround and a hood supported by brackets. A stone-tiled extension to the right features a coped gable and one two-light flush mullion window. A rear north-east wing is also present, with a coped gable.
