Description

Cock Gate Farmhouse is a late 18th-century farmhouse, with some mid-20th century repairs. It is constructed of painted coursed rubble, featuring a hipped slate roof. A chimney stack at the rear is built of rendered rubble and brick. The south front has two storeys and an attic, with a lunette window in the rendered gable. There are three windows, including a two-storey canted bay with a hipped slate roof to the left, and two 2-light casements. The ground floor windows are similar in style with a central entrance. The entrance is sheltered by a flat wooden canopy supported by a wooden post, with a moulded cornice. The door is surrounded by a plain wooden architrave and has a ledged and boarded door.
