Description
Villa Farmhouse is a late 18th-century farmhouse located on Castle Street in Clun. The building features coursed limestone rubble, which shows signs of former limewashing, and has been later rendered with cement on the front. It has a two-span slate roof that is hipped at the front and gabled at the rear. The farmhouse stands three storeys tall and includes integral brick end stacks, with an additional brick end stack on the ridge at the rear.
The structure has three bays, with mid-to-late 19th-century segmental-headed wooden casements that are three-light with a transom, except for the central first-floor cross window and the second-floor windows located beneath the eaves. The central entrance consists of a pair of late 20th-century three-panelled doors, which are topped by a segmental-headed Gothick-traceried rectangular overlight and a bracketed flat hood. To the right, there is a wing that is set back, featuring three-light casements and a boarded door to the left. Additionally, there is a one-storey lean-to kennel to the right, which has a graded stone slate roof.
