Description
These are three cottages, now combined into two residences, dating to the late 17th century, with a late 19th-century addition projecting to the right. The cottages are timber-framed with rendered infill panels, some areas with rendered red brick additions, and have slate roofs. Originally, there were likely two timber-framed bays, with the addition creating an L-shaped plan. The building has one storey and an attic. There is a dormer with a two-light casement on the left-hand side, and a more recent dormer with a two-light casement on the addition to the right. A rendered end stack is present on the right, a brick and stone ridge stack is located off-centre to the left, and a rendered stack sits off-ridge on the addition to the right. The front has a two-light 19th-century casement window to the left, a central boarded door, and a boarded door set into the angle to the right. The projecting addition’s gable-end features two-light segmental-headed casements on each floor, and a more recent two-light segmental-headed casement is in a blocked doorway of its return front. The building is included on the list for its group value.
