Description

Williams Farmhouse is a late 18th-century farmhouse located in Tredington. It is constructed from squared, coursed limestone with quoins, and has a stone slate roof with brick end stacks. The building is two storeys plus an attic, and has a three-window front. It features an L-shaped plan. A plank door is located within a larder lean-to on the left side. There are 20th-century two-light casement windows to the left and right of the first floor, and to the ground floor left. Original wood lintels are present. A 20th-century three-light casement sits to the ground floor right, alongside a single-light casement also with a wood lintel. A large cross casement with a wood lintel is centrally located on the ground floor. To the right of the main building is a one-storey stone range with a stone slate roof, a brick end stack, and a 2-light casement with a wood lintel. Dormers with gabled roofs are also present.

The interior includes chamfered spine beams with run-out stops. A large open fireplace has a chamfered bressumer. An early, heavily moulded spine beam with a moulded bar-stopped chamfer is likely reset. Original 18th-century plank doors and a 18th-century spiral staircase with an original gate at the bottom are also present, alongside stone flagged floors.
