Description
Stable Cottage and the attached stableblock date from the early 18th century. The cottage is built of squared, coursed limestone and features a thatched roof with a brick end stack. It has two storeys and a two-window range. On the left side, there is a 19th-century plank door with a wooden lintel set within a 20th-century gabled porch. To the right, there is a 12-pane casement window with a wooden lintel. The stableblock, attached to the left, is made of stone and partially rebuilt in brick, also featuring a thatched roof and likely consisting of three bays. In the center of the stableblock, there is a bricked-up opening that rises to the eaves. Inside the cottage, there are chamfered spine beams with stepped stops and joists, as well as an open fireplace with the original bressumer having been refaced.
