Description

LOWER HEYFORD CAULCOTT SP52SW 6/44 Caulcott Farmhouse - II

Farmhouse. Late C18. Limestone rubble: concrete plain-tile roofs with brick gable stacks. L plan. 2 storeys plus attics. Symmetrical 3-window front has a central doorway below a 2-light casement, and the outer bays have 3-light casements; all windows have rubble segmental arches with alternate marlstone voussoirs, and have C20 casements. Right gable wall has a blank recess for a datestone, and returns to the lower rear wing which has 2- and 3-light casements with wooden lintels. Later extension in the angle of the ranges. Interior not inspected.
