Description
The Horse and Groom Public House is an early 18th-century building constructed from coursed limestone rubble with wooden lintels and a thatched roof featuring brick gable stacks. It has a two-unit plan and stands two storeys tall. The front of the building has two pairs of 2-light casement windows on the first floor. The ground floor is mostly covered by a lightweight shelter, but a 2-light casement window and a doorway can still be seen on the left side. There is a small single-storey range extending from the left end, which is now part of the bar area. Inside, there is a large open fireplace that is likely a rebuild.
