UPPER HEYFORD HIGH STREET SP42NE (North side) 2/141 Rose Cottage - II

Small house. C17/early C18. Coursed limestone rubble with wooden lintels; thatch roof with gable stacks. 2-unit plan. 2 storeys. Irregular 2-window front has the entrance to right of centre, a 2-light casement to right, a 3-light casement to left, and a small opening to extreme left; first-floor windows are of 2 lights, and there are numerous indications of early alterations. Right gable wall, facing road, has a large 2-light casement at first floor. Left gable stack is partly rubble. Interior not inspected.
