Description
Rose Cottage is a small house dating from the 17th to early 18th century. It is built of coursed limestone rubble with wooden lintels and features a thatched roof with gable stacks. The house has a two-unit plan and stands two storeys tall. The front has an irregular arrangement of two windows, with the entrance located to the right of centre. To the right of the entrance is a two-light casement window, and to the left is a three-light casement window, along with a small opening at the extreme left. The first-floor windows are also two-light casements, and there are many signs of early alterations. The right gable wall, which faces the road, has a large two-light casement window on the first floor, while the left gable stack is partly made of rubble. The interior has not been inspected.
