Description
Coldharbour Barn and the attached farmbuilding are a barn and shelter shed dating from the late 17th century to early 18th century. They are constructed of limestone rubble with wooden lintels and have corrugated-iron roofs. The barn features a five-bay plan with central opposed full-height doors, while the other bays have slits and square vents, along with triangular vents in the gables. The five-bay shed extends southwards, forming an L-shaped group with the barn; four bays are open fronted, supported by wooden posts and added braces, and there is a loft door in the gable. Inside, the barn trusses include tie beams and collars, supporting two rows of butt purlins with through tenons, plus a ridge piece resting on saddles. The shed has a roof constructed in a similar manner.
