Description

The canal bridge at Dashwood Lock, built in the late 18th century, is constructed from coursed squared limestone. It features a depressed arch with projecting imposts and a keyblock that is connected to a surrounding dripmould. Solid parapets rise above the arch and curve outward to square piers. On both sides of the bridge, there are cast-iron plates inscribed with the number "209".
