Description

This barn, located about 25 yards east of Ty'n-y-gwynt, is likely from the 17th century. It features a combination of dry stone and thin coursed rubble construction, topped with a corrugated iron roof. The barn consists of three bays and has windows with labels and four diamond profile mullions at the southern end of the east side. There are full height double entrance doors leading to the central bay and the threshing floor. Inside, the trusses are supported by raking struts that connect the tie-beams to the principal rafters. This barn is included for its group value with Ty'n-y-gwynt.
