5/153 Stable about 15 m west of Broom Farmhouse

GV II

Stable and granary. Late C17. Squared rubble, corrugated asbestos roof with coped verges on rounded kneelers. Two bays, aligned north-west/south- east. Two levels, both approached from gable ends due to fall in ground level from north-west to south-east. South-east gable end has elliptical headed entry to right and a reduced opening on first floor. Plain door to north-west gable. Low ogee-moulded doorway to north-east framed by plain windows flank more or less in line with porch of Broom Farmhouse (qv). Interior: dropped tie-beam trusses for granary on upper level.
