Description

Larport Court Cottage is a 17th-century house located on Larport Lane in Mordiford. It features a timber-framed structure with painted brick infill, a sandstone stack, and brick shafts, all topped with a tiled roof. The cottage consists of two framed bays that are aligned east to west, with an entry on the east gable. There is a stack with a bread oven and a part lean-to at the rear, which is to the north. The building is single storey with a gable-lit attic on the south front, which includes two 2-light casement windows. The east gable end has a lean-to porch with a ledged door, and the stack to the right has two shafts, one of which is circular. The large bread oven is located to the right of the stack, accompanied by another stack. The framing of the cottage appears complete, with three square panels extending from the sill to the wall plate.
