Description
Pump Orchard Farmhouse is a farmhouse that possibly dates back to the 17th century but was largely refaced during the late 18th century and early 19th century. It has a timber-framed core with some remaining wattle-and-daub infill, and the exterior is faced with sandstone rubble. The roof is part tiled and part covered with corrugated metal. The building is aligned north-west to south-east, with the entrance located in a lean-to toward the center of the south-west face, to the left of a south-west lateral stack, and an axial stack situated south-east of the center. The south-west front features a single storey and an attic, with a gabled dormer left of center that includes a 2-light casement window. There is a 3-light window in the lean-to to the left of a ledged door, and a 2-light casement window to the right of the stack. The framing originally consisted of three square panels from the sill to the wall-plate.
