Description
Meadow Cottage is a 17th-century house located in Hampton Bishop. It features a timber-framed structure with brick infill, a sandstone plinth, and stacks. The cottage has two framed bays that are aligned north to south, with an entrance located to the right of center on the west side. There is a stack at the south gable end and a west lateral stack, along with a lean-to at the rear. The building stands two storeys high and has 2-light casement windows on the ground floor, as well as a lean-to porch with a ledged door. The framing is mostly intact but has been altered, showing four square panels from the sill to the wall-plate, short braces from the main post to the wall-plate, and V-struts in the gable.
