Description
The stables and hay loft, located about 15 yards east-north-east of Treberon, date back to the 18th century. They are constructed from sandstone rubble and feature roofs made of Welsh slate and corrugated iron. The building is arranged in an L-shape, with the main section running roughly east to west and a cross-wing extending northward from the east end.
On the north elevation, there are two square openings for the loft and two segmentally-headed openings, one on each side, along with a stable door under a segmental arch to the left of center. The west elevation of the cross-wing has three low ledged doors, evenly spaced and set beneath shouldered stone lintels. The middle door separates two horizontal, late 20th-century one-light windows. Inside the main range, there are raking struts. These structures form part of the farmyard surrounding Treberon, along with its nearby barn and former granary, and are included for their group value.
