Description

Michaelchurch House is an early 19th-century house located in Michaelchurch. The house is constructed of sandstone and brick, finished with render, and has a hipped Welsh slate roof with end stacks featuring coupled shafts. It has two storeys and originally three windows. The ground floor windows are sash windows with marginal panes; a central porch with an entablature supported on two Tuscan columns provides access to a four-panelled door set within a semi-circular head, which also has a fanlight. To the left of the main house, and linked by a low two-storey block, is a two-storey wing with three windows, the central of which is a large, multi-paned canted bay window supported on two brick columns. The house was formerly known as Michaelchurch Villa.
