Description

This is a milepost, likely from the late 19th century, made of cast iron. It features an angled top and sides on a curved and angled stem. The raised lettering indicates directions to Tretire Parish and distances to Ross and Abergavenny, noting 5 miles to Ross and 16 miles to Abergavenny. There is also an oval plaque on the right side of the stem inscribed with "Perkins & Bellamy Ross."
