Description
This is a milepost, likely from the mid-18th century, made of cast iron. It features angled sides and a top that is supported by a curved angle shaft. The raised lettering indicates the distance to Ross and Abergavenny, stating "ST WEONARDS PARISH TO ROSS ABERGAVE 8 13 NNY MILES MILES." There is also an oval plaque on the right-hand angle that reads "PERKINS & BELLAMY ROSS."
