Description
Broad Oak Inn is a house that has been converted into a public house. It likely dates from the 17th century, with alterations and additions made in the late 19th century. The building is constructed from painted coursed sandstone and features a hipped Welsh slate roof on the right side, along with brick stacks. It has a roughly rectangular shape with a central porch that projects southwards. The structure includes a cellar and two storeys, with a window arrangement of 1:1:1. The windows are late 19th-century casements, with two- and three-light designs. The two-storey porch, which is also from the 19th century, has a hipped roof and contains a 17th-century door that is nailed and studded, featuring strap hinges. This door is set in a doorway with moulded jambs and a square head.
