Description
Glasshouse Farmhouse is a farmhouse that likely dates from the 17th century, with 19th century and late 20th century additions and alterations. It is constructed of sandstone rubble and features Welsh slate roofs, with a corner stack located at the northeast of the north/south range. The building is L-shaped, with the main range running north to south and a subsidiary wing extending eastwards from the north end. It has two storeys.
On the north elevation, there is one window, which is a 3-light casement that partly intrudes into the attic. Beneath this window, in the gable front to the left, there is a late 19th century sash window, and to the right, there is a 4-light opening with diamond oak mullions. To the left of this arrangement, there is a long roof slope leading to the cross-wing. The entrance is located on the south side of the cross-wing, beneath a late 20th century lean-to porch.
