Description

Coed Lank Farmhouse is likely from the early 17th century and was extended in the late 19th century. The farmhouse is built of sandstone rubble, finished in roughcast, with stone slate and Welsh slate roofing. The roof is hipped to the right with a brick end stack. The building has a gable entry plan. It is two storeys and an attic, with two windows on each floor. The first floor has a three-light 18th-century casement window. Below a segmental head, there is another 3-light casement window to the left of the entry. A glazed porch, dating to the early 20th century, is located to the right of the entry. A late 19th-century sash window is also present. A second original entry is located through a late 19th-century kitchen extension to the left gable, alongside a stack.

Inside, the ground floor features a series of heavy ceiling beams with half-pyramid chamfer stops. A stone newel staircase leads to the first floor, situated in the gable end, and continues in oak beneath a 17th-century chamfered, segmentally headed opening containing a contemporary plank and ledged door to the attic. The roof trusses bear heavy triple angle struts. The interior remains remarkably original.
