Description
The New Inn is a house that has been converted into an inn, likely dating from the 17th century with later alterations. It features a timber-frame structure with rendered sandstone rubble, a Welsh slate roof, and brick stacks. The building has a rectangular plan and the main elevation faces northeast. It stands two storeys tall with an attic. The northeast elevation includes a mix of one and two windows, with glazing bar sashes, except for a two-light mid-19th century casement window in the attic of the gable front. This gable front displays exposed framing consisting of six rows of square panels between the cill and tie-beam, with V-struts at the apex. The entrance is located in a gabled late 19th century porch, which features a six-panelled door to the right of the gable front. Inside, the inn has heavy ceiling beams.
