Description
Pencoyd Court is a house that may date back to the 17th century, with some alterations made in the early 18th century. It is built from sandstone rubble, with some areas finished in stucco, and features Welsh slate roofs along with brick and rendered brick stacks. The building has a rectangular plan and stands two storeys tall.
The garden front, facing southeast, includes four windows, with sash windows on the first floor; the two windows on the left are positioned higher. The ground floor features two canted mid-19th century bay windows, one on either side of a glazed contemporary door, and has deeply projecting eaves. The north front has window openings that are segmentally headed, along with a doorway that has a square head and moulded jambs and lintel.
Inside the southeast part of the house, there are chamfered ceiling beams and a cantilevered staircase with stick balusters leading to the entrance hall behind the garden front.
