Description

Trevase Farmhouse is a farmhouse, possibly dating back to the 17th century, with alterations from the 18th and early 19th centuries. It is constructed of sandstone rubble, partly rendered, with a Welsh slate roof and brick stacks. The building has a roughly rectangular plan aligned north to south.

The west elevation, which faces the garden, has a symmetrical arrangement of windows. The upper floor features 1:2 windows with 2- and 3-light casements. The ground floor has three identical sash windows and two 2-light casements above the entrance. The gable front includes a 2-light casement and a further window to the attic on the left-hand side. A brick stack is located to the right of the centre of the elevation. The right side of the gable front has a 6-panelled door dating to the mid-19th century, sheltered by a hipped canopy. An unfenestrated lean-to is attached to the left of the gable, and another lean-to with a matching ground-floor sash window is attached to the right-hand side, with a ramped roofline up to the eaves.
