Description

Milepost located in front of Old Hendre, likely from the mid-19th century. It features an oval plaque on the right side that reads "HEREFORD/ F S HODGES/ &/ SON/ FOUNDRY." The milepost is made of cast iron with an angled top and sides above a curved shaft. The raised lettering indicates the distance from Llanwarne Parish to Hereford and Monmouth, stating "9 MILES." Note that Old Hendre itself is not included in this listing.
