Description

This is a milepost, likely from the mid-19th century, made of cast iron. It features angled faces and a top above a curved shaft. The raised lettering indicates the distance to Hereford and Monmouth, stating "LLANWARNE PARISH TO HEREFORD MONMOUTH 8 10 MILES MILES." There is also an oval plaque on the right side of the shaft that reads "HEREFORD/ F S HODGES/ & / SON/ FOUNDRY."
