Description
This stable, located about 25 yards north-east of Kiverknoll Farmhouse, dates from the 18th century and has undergone some later alterations. It is constructed of sandstone rubble and features a Welsh slate roof. The building consists of three bays that are aligned roughly east to west and has two levels. The north elevation includes one shuttered loft opening in the center and two larger openings on the ground floor, which have diamond section oak mullions. The west gable features an early 19th-century cast-iron casement window on the first floor, with a stable door situated on the left-hand side. Inside, the stable has trusses that include two pairs of parallel raking struts extending from the ties to the principals. There is a later brick addition to the east, but it is not considered of special interest. The stable is included for its group value with the nearby farmhouse.
