Description
Kiverknoll Farmhouse and the attached outbuilding to the rear is a farmhouse that likely dates from the 17th and 18th centuries, with some alterations made in the early 19th century. The building is constructed of brick on a sandstone rubble plinth, and there is a rear extension made of sandstone rubble. It features a hipped Welsh slate roof and has a rubble side stack at the rear with a brick shaft. The farmhouse has a roughly rectangular plan that is aligned north to south, with a western extension at the north end.
It stands two storeys tall, and the east elevation displays a 1:3 window arrangement, featuring early 20th-century sash windows and mid-19th-century two-light casements beneath segmental heads, which have painted keystones and lintel ends. The entry is roughly central and includes painted alternate voussoirs, a panelled door, and a fanlight. Although the interior has not been inspected, it is noted to have raking struts to the trusses of the rear sandstone rubble extension.
