Description

Number 19 and the adjoining shop, along with the boundary wall, is a house and shop built in the late 18th century and mid-19th century. The structure is made of brick, with some areas whitewashed, and features steeply pitched plain tile roofs. The eaves are dentillated, and the gables are coped with kneelers. There are two gable stacks and two side wall stacks. The building has three storeys and two bays. Most windows are 20th-century casements set in openings with segmental rubbed brick heads. The house has a 19th-century glazed door, with a casement window to the left and a shuttered shop window with a hood to the right. Above the door, there are two casements, and above those, two square-headed casements. To the east, there is a single-storey lean-to addition, with a casement window in the attic above to the right. At the rear, there is a gabled dormer over the stairs, featuring a 20th-century casement. The shop to the east has a coped parapet. To the left of the shop, there is a pilastered doorcase with a part-glazed door and overlight. To the right, there is a mullioned shop window with a dentillated hood supported by shaped brackets. Further east, there is a brick boundary wall with gabled coping and two doorways.
