Description
The Wheatsheaf Inn is a public house located on the south side of Bingham Long Acre. It dates from the late 18th century and mid 19th century. The building is constructed of brick and features slate roofs, a stone plinth, a first-floor band, and dentillated eaves. It is three storeys high and has three bays, forming an L-plan layout. The windows are Yorkshire style, with margin light and glazing bar sashes. The front of the building has a central door flanked by single Yorkshire sashes with segmental heads. Above the door are three sashes, and above those, three smaller Yorkshire sashes. On the west side, there are two casements, with the right one having an elliptical head. Above these are three casements, two of which have elliptical heads, and above again is a single casement. Adjoining the inn are stables made of brick with pantile roofs, which are single and two storeys high and consist of nine bays.
