Description

This is a house, later incorporating a shop, built around 1800, with a shop addition added in the mid-20th century. The construction uses brick with stone dressings and a hipped roof covered in concrete tiles. The front of the building has a stone and rendered plinth and rebated eaves, featuring a single rear wall stack and a single side wall stack. It is three storeys high and has a three-window front. The east front features three glazing bar sashes with keystoned lintels on the upper floors, and three 2-light casements above. A plain wooden doorcase with a keystoned lintel, overlight, and a 6-panel door is centrally positioned. A 20th-century casement window is to the left, and a late 19th-century canted wooden bow window is to the right. The south end, which faces the street, has a glazing bar sash with a keystoned lintel and a 2-light casement above. A large 20th-century glazing bar casement window is located on the ground floor. A lean-to shop addition is attached to the left side of the building.
