Description

A pair of early 19th-century cottages with an adjoining former stable, located in East Thorpe, Southwell. The buildings are constructed of brick with a pantile roof, featuring rebated eaves, a central ridge stack, and a single gable stack. Ground-floor openings have segmental brick arches over them. The windows are two-light Yorkshire sash windows with glazing bars.

The cottages appear as a handled pair. The ground floor has two windows with shutters, and to the right is a fielded six-panel door. To the left is a late 20th-century porch with a half-glazed door. The upper floor projects to the left and contains a single window. Below this window is a pair of close-boarded doors beneath a timber lintel. The building is included on the register for its group value.
