GV II
2 houses, now disused library. Early C18, with mid C19 alterations. Brick, the ground floor painted , with concrete tile roof , 2 gable and single side wall stacks. Plinth, bands to each floor, coped parapet with 5 blank panels, single coped gable. 3 storeys; 5 window range of glazing bar sashes, the 2 to left partly reglazed. Above, 5 similar sashes, 2 of them blanks. All these windows have segmental heads. Central doorcase with moulded segmental pediment on brackets, and fielded 6-panel door with overlight. To left, 2 segment heade plain sashes. To right, C19 elliptical arched window flanked by single round headed glazed doors, all with C20 glazing. Left return has a C20 door with C18 stone hood and scroll brackets. Interior of 25 is reputed to contain a C18 staircase with plain, fluted and turned balusters, cut string and moulded handrail.
