Description

This is a mid-18th century house, later altered in the late 19th century. It is constructed of brick with a plastered front and side, stone dressings, and has a hipped and gabled slate roof. The house features a plinth, chamfered quoins, a first-floor band, moulded and dentillated eaves, a parapet, coped gables, multi-keystone lintels, and two gable and one ridge stack. The central projecting section has a single window. The main facade has two storeys and a five-window range of glazing bar sashes. A central staircase has ramped, curved iron handrails leading to a doorcase with Tuscan columns and a flat hood. The front door is a fielded six-panel door with an overlight. To the left of the door, there are two glazing bar sashes, and to the right, two plain sashes. The right side of the house includes a central glazing bar sash. A central wooden doorcase is moulded with an open pediment supported by scroll brackets, and it frames a half-glazed door with an overlight.
