Description

West's the Jewellers and L'Affaire II at 2 and 4 Queen Street consists of two houses that have been converted into shops. They were built in the early 19th century and have undergone some alterations in the late 20th century. The structure is made of brick with a rendered ground floor, stone dressings, and a pantile roof. It features a plinth, a first-floor sill band, rebated eaves, and two gable stacks. The building has three storeys and a three-window range of segment-headed glazing bar sashes, which are unevenly spaced and include iron window box brackets. Above these are three smaller sashes with flat heads, with the one on the right being a dummy. The full-width late 20th-century replica wooden shopfront has pilasters and scroll brackets supporting a corniced fascia.
