Description
No. 140 on Church Street is a farmhouse dating from the mid-18th century. It is constructed of brick, rendered and pebbledashed, topped with a steeply pitched plain tile roof. The building features first and second floor lintel bands, dentillated eaves, and coped gables with shoulders. It has a single ridge and a single gable stack. The structure is three storeys tall with four bays. The windows are primarily glazing bar sashes with splayed lintels. The east front includes a sash window and a door with an overlight to the right. The lower service wing has a sash window and an early 20th-century square bay window, with four sashes above it. Above that, to the left, are two smaller sash windows. The north gable is blank, while the south gable and rear exhibit irregular fenestration.
