Description
No. 137 on Moor End Road is a farmhouse that has been converted into a house, dating from the mid-18th century. It is constructed from hammer-dressed and random stone, topped with a graduated stone slate roof. The building features a three-unit, two-storey layout with a parallel range at the back of the first two bays, and a 20th-century garage wing on the left side.
There is a porch situated between the first and second bays, which has a pitched roof and a square-cut stone surround. A blocked doorway can be found between the second and third bays. Each floor has three windows, each consisting of three lights with flat-faced stone mullions and 20th-century casements. The rear range extends to the left and includes two two-light mullion windows on each floor. The eaves of both ranges have been raised, and there are two gable stacks.
